CONCEPT
THE PLINTH
The jewellery world is shaped by preconceptions. These inevitably form conventional jewellery, primarily as accessory of body adornment. When jewellery is not worn it is places in a box, drawer or other encapsulating precious container. It becomes invisible and obscured from further admiration.
Throughout my jewellery I strive to provoke these preconceptions; To make the wearer and viewer re-evaluate the perception of what jewellery is and the value of its use.
Each piece has a dual quality; The ability to be worn, yet simultaneously does not require a body to be complete. When not worn the plinth gives the jewellery a sculptural quality. It inhabits a space to be admired purely as a sculpture.
F E S W A consists of three main lines: The Haute Collections, The biannual collections and The diffusion ranges.
THE HAUTE COLLECTION: WORN-NOTWORN; THE ABIOTIC COLLECTION
With an underlying motive to provoke jewellery’s preconceptions, this collection consists of oversized jewellery objects to purposefully question the value of its use. This is my take on haute couture and the pieces will therefor be hand made upon request in precious materials such as silver, gold, Tahitian pearls, diamons, mink and fox.
THE BIANNUAL PRET-A-PORTER COLLECTION; THE BIOME COLLECTION
This collection consists of ready to wear jewellery and objects. Materials used in this collection are mainly silver, gold plating, freshwater pearls, smoky quartz and fox.
THE DIFFUSION RANGES; THE ECOTONE COLLECTION.
This line is a pared down version of the F E S W A style vision. A biannual collection where pieces will be added, updated and developed to offer a stackable and playful take on the signature aesthetic. Rough textures in blackened silver and gold are combined with freshwater pearls and semi precious gemstones to characterize a luxurious pared down palette.
Ivan Nunez Photography
Ivan describes his medium of photography best as a fake diary. Or fiction, fact, and desire. I take many snapshots, some of them are real, some of them are not. I will be showing three large silver gelatin prints and four small, on beautiful Italian frames from Gallerix. Everything is shot on film and handmade by me.
